The majority of flights in this deal include layovers — the only one that has no layover departs from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). And there’s a range of major cities such as New York and San Francisco to smaller cities like Jacksonville, Florida and Worcester, Massachusetts to choose from.
We flagged several flights that offer discounted fares to Antigua:
American and JetBlue: departing from New York City (JFK), starting at $282

When booking your flights, we recommend using Google Flights to determine your best available dates and then booking directly with the airline of your choice. Airlines tend to provide more flexibility in the event of a cancellation, delay or booking change.
Fares advertised on Google Flights may also be different than those on airlines’ sites because of third-party booking options.
Looking through Google Flights, American gives two options for a flight from Atlanta to Antigua on Feb. 7. One flight departs Atlanta at 7:41 a.m. and the other departs at 9:15 a.m., so there isn’t a significant difference in timing — it just depends on how early you’d like to show up at the airport. Both flights also include a 45-minute layover in Miami.
American’s two options for Feb. 14 returning flights have a 95-minute layover in Miami.

The deal also only extends to economy fares. In this case, the $325 sticker price applies to America’s basic economy option. American basic economy has fees for seat selection; you could upgrade for $80 to “Main” cabin, in which the fare includes seat selection. American also charges additional fees for checked baggage.

For choosing seats, the prices range from $10 to $49, but if you don’t want to pay extra, you can skip seat selection altogether.

At around $325, the fare is considered to be low for economy — prices for economy flights to Antigua typically cost anywhere between $530 and $730, according to Google Flights.

Bottom Line
Given that there are a handful of cities across the U.S. carrying this deal and fares are discounted by up to 50%, a trip to Antigua is hard to pass up.
However, since many of these discounted fares apply to basic economy, keep in mind that there are restrictions when it comes to certain perks such as selecting a seat. While American’s basic economy fare allows for carry-ons, keep in mind that JetBlue — the other carrier in this deal — does not let passengers bring a free carry-on under its basic economy option.
One of the best aspects of this deal is that it falls under one of the peak times to visit Antigua — winter. You can escape the chilly temps of winter for warmer waters in Antigua with this deal.
